Thanks to Covid, our method of presentation has changed and it's working well. Instead of drawing from the hat at the meeting, names are drawn ahead of time and each presenter submits a standardized form with information about their group. That information is shared with all of the members via e-mail ahead of the meetings for review and thought. The three women presenting will also read their presentation at the meeting, have a chance to answer questions and then we will vote.
Some things to consider ahead of time for everyone or if you're considering a group to present:
Be sure the charity is recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization. If you're not sure, check its website or ask them, or you can check guidestar.org, charitynavigator.org, etc to be sure. Please reference our guidelines to make sure the group fits our criteria.
